#1 Trilla-Rick Ross

So the second album from mr.ross himself. The first was called "port of miami" which featured every d-boy's anthem hustlin. Now we got trilla. Another release from the stream of releases coming out of miami. Is it something we can all look to for a change? I doubt it. Of course he started the album off typically with a shout out to everybody he ever made contact with. Then he continues by falling into the cliche' society has deemed hip hop to be. We all know what that is "The glamourization of the drug life." along with its accessories popping bottles mucho panty dropping and another creative way to say i got money. Im not gonna front im starting to really wish that the words boss and a ross didnt rhyme. Besides all that the good thing I can say about this album is that it doesnt lack authencity. I feel like after listening to trilla thats who he really is. What you see is what you get. Is rhyme scheme lacks originality though he does sound like the norm in that aspect. Unfortunatley the first rapper callabo was unreasonably weak. honestly what do I expect from nelly he hasnt put nothing good out since his first album. the production sounded original. J.U.S.T.I.C.E leauge deserves their props. Im glad to see pure writing on this album. 2 kudos out of 5 and a A for authenticity.
#2 Still the Baddest-Trina

With a lack of female presence in hip hop today. I had to review the diamond princess and see if she was what she deemed herself to be still the baddest?
Just what i suspected. Its not like there is a high bar that has bene set for female mc's. I mean lauryn hill gave us a taste of what they where supposed to be like but trina does the greatest job I've ever seen of goung in the oppiste direction of what could actually give female rappers a good name. Honestly she reminds me of a female plies. Nasty and Gutter. I mean I guess thats the style of miami. The most controversial song on the album is "look back at me" where she explictly describes her "assets." and talents not only on the track but in between the sheets. Far from classy way closer to trashy. I guess single again is in response to the prostitue flange record released by wayne which was intended for supahead and not his at the time girlfriend trina. sad enough this is a step up from diamond princess and niggaz aint shit. so personal improvement but three steps back for female mc's. In conclusion 12 tracks of blah.... I give her a B+ for mucho BULLSHIT!
VYP:Voice of the Young People-Lil'Mama.

So I must say lil mama surprised me i was expecting alot of bubblegum lyrics that complimented lip gloss and g-slide you know the type if stuff that appeled to 3 year olds and midly retarted hormonal pre-teens. I am dissapointed in her for releasing bullshit like her singles. Dont get me wrong her album isnt great , ut just isnt what I expected from someone like her. I honestly think this album is way beeter than still the baddest and is a better voice for women as opposed to the whole concept of i gotta fat ass and i will steal your money which seems to be the direction ms trina has been going in for the duration of her carreer along with every other female mc with exemption of ms. hill. I give this album 1 1/2 for the suprise factor but other thatn that i will proably never listen to it again.
